Privacy policy
What data we collect, what we use it for, and how you can ask us to delete it.
At LA Realty Group we process the personal data you share with us for the sole purpose of handling your real estate enquiry. This policy explains how we do it.
Who is responsible
LA Realty Group · Full-Service Real Estate, with offices at Centro Comercial C3 Cariari, Heredia, Costa Rica. You can write to us at contacto@larealtygroupcr.com about anything relating to your data.
What data we collect
- Contact form: name, email address, phone number, type of enquiry and whatever message you write.
- Valuation calculator: the property details you enter (type, areas, bedrooms, location, features), the area derived from the boundary you draw on the map, and your email and phone so we can send you the result.
- Property document: if you upload a photo or a PDF (municipal tax bill, cadastral survey or appraisal), it is processed to extract the property details.
- Chat assistant: the content of the conversation and, if you provide them, your contact details.
What we use it for
- Answer your enquiry and follow up on it.
- Prepare the valuation or property search you ask us for.
- Contact you through the channel you chose.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising, and we do not send you bulk communications you have not asked for.
Processing with artificial intelligence
The chat assistant and the valuation calculator use the Google Gemini artificial intelligence service. This means the text of your query, the property details and — in the calculator's case — the document you upload are transmitted to Google to be processed and to generate the answer.
We recommend that you do not include sensitive personal data that is not needed for your enquiry. If you would rather not use these features, you can contact us directly on WhatsApp, by phone or by email, and we will help you just the same.
How long we keep them
We keep your contact details while a commercial relationship or an open enquiry exists, and for a maximum of 24 months from the last contact, unless the law requires us to keep them longer or you ask us to delete them sooner.
Documents you upload to the calculator are not stored. The tax bill, survey or appraisal is read on the spot to extract the property details and discarded when the query ends: nothing is kept on our server, nothing is published, and nothing is shared with third parties beyond the processing described above.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to withdraw the consent you gave us. Write to contacto@larealtygroupcr.com and we will handle your request.
The processing of personal data in Costa Rica is governed by the Law on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of their Personal Data (Law 8968) and its regulations. The legal basis for this processing is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on our forms and may withdraw at any time. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may turn to the Data Protection Agency of the Inhabitants (Prodhab).
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. It may use your browser's local storage to remember interface preferences, such as whether the chat assistant is open. The map in the valuation calculator loads from OpenStreetMap; that service receives the load request from your browser under its own policies.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the updated version on this same page.
